OLD ORCHARD BEACH — A man wearing a ski mask who said he had a gun held up the Rite Aid pharmacy Thursday evening, left the store and is believed to have left in a car.
The robbery took place about 6:45 p.m. at the pharmacy at 15 Saco Ave. Lt. Tom DeLuca said the man said he had a handgun, and demanded that the pharmacist provide prescription medications. After obtaining the drugs, he left the store and is believed to have gotten into a vehicle.
The man, described by DeLuca as between 6 feet and 6 feet, 3 inches tall, is of medium build, muscular and has a fair complexion. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing red sweatpants with writing on them, and a dark-colored jacket or sweatshirt.
DeLuca, in a prepared statement, said the possible vehicle in question is a two-tone silver over black, late 1990s-style Dodge Caravan with damage to the front passenger side fender and possible door damage.
