On Friday, the University of New England’s Marine Animal Rehabilitation and Conservation program released a rehabilitated seal pup back into the ocean on the shores of Biddeford Pool. Charleston Chew, a harbor seal pup, was rehabbed after a shark attack that left deep gashes on his right side. Crowds gathered to watch his successful re-entry into the Atlantic.
