BRUNSWICK — Mid-coast residents diagnosed with arthritis and other musculoskeletal diseases now have care available close to home. Mid Coast Medical Group — Rheumatology is open and currently accepting appointments and referrals.

The office is located at 121 Medical Center Drive in Brunswick, on the Mid Coast Hospital campus.

“We are grateful to be able to offer a service that is so much in need,” said Dr. Scott Mills, vice president of Medical Administration and chief medical officer at the hospital. “Local patients and providers can feel comforted knowing that expert rheumatology care is now available without traveling long distances.”

Doctor’s background

Rheumatologist Diana Vradii, M.D., recently joined the medical staff of Mid Coast Hospital and will head the new practice. Vradii earned her medical degree from the State Medical and Pharmaceutical University of the Republic of Moldova. She completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, followed by a Rheumatology Fellowship at Boston University Medical Center.

“I look forward to working collaboratively with local primary care providers and other specialty groups,” said Vradii. “Having access to resources and specialties improve outcomes, providing the highest quality care for our patients.”
