One of Subaru’s most popular products has to be the compact Forester, a small SUV-like vehicle that is the perfect answer to Canadian winters, thanks to its all-wheel-drive system. Just the same, as with any car or truck on the market, the time came around to redesign the Forester in order to keep its popularity alive.
Consequently, Subaru designers went back to the drawing board and stepped away with this all-new Forester. And guess what? It is already praised as a success. Subaru has given the Forester a new look, something along the lines of a modern, robust small truck. The interior was also redone, with more attention given to detail and roominess.
Under the hood is the latest design in flatfour engines, including a potent turbocharged version that will impress more than one sporty driver. Although available as a standard, the automatic transmission is now of the CVT kind. And yes, the Forester features the typical “Subie” all-wheel drive. By the way, the Forester is also available with a specific off-road option that will help it tackle some of the most demanding trails, just as a real off-roader should be able to do!
