BRUNSWICK
Access Health and the Brunswick Downtown Association have teamed up to create a new Brunswick Walking Map.
Created as part of the “Healthy Maine Streets” initiative, the new map promotes physical activity by highlighting walking routes, bike racks, crosswalks and other bike and pedestrian safety features in downtown Brunswick.
“Having the walking maps available for businesses and their employees participating in the Healthy Maine Streets Program is a great tool and incentive for people working downtown to increase their physical activity,: Brunswick Downtown Association Executive Director Debora King said.
The map is intended to promote walking and bicycling by all individuals, visitors and residents of Brunswick.
Residents and those working downtown can use the map as a way to increase their daily physical activity, while visitors can use the map to guide a personal walking tour.
Maps can be requested by calling 373-6925; or email cfuller@midcoasthealth.co m

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
