DennyMike’s, the award-winning seasoning and sauces company, has outgrown its Dana Warp Mill location and moved into a larger facility at 15 Eisenhower Drive in Westbrook last week.

According to owner Dennis Sherman, the new DennyMike’s Sauces and Seasonings co-packing production facility is nearly triple the size of its old facility and is already nearing capacity.

He said the new 10,000-foot space has a tumble blender, filler unit, bag sealer and shrink tunnel and is equipped to fill dry ingredients into packets, tins, bags, bottles and bulk containers. Part of the reason for the move, according to Sherman, was not only to allow the business more room to grow, but also to give customers easier access to parking, which was a problem in the old facility. Twenty-five percent of the space is being subleased to another business, Rainmaker Spring Water, but Sherman said DennyMike’s might need that space soon.

Besides its own spices, rubs and sauces, DennyMike’s new facility allows the company the room to package other company’s products. Sherman said the DennyMike’s brand is in the process of developing new stews, mustard sauce, steak sauce and hot sauces.
