NEWCASTLE — The Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts, in partnership with the Harlow Gallery, is hosting a public tea party.

Collaborative teapot-making was the focus of a twoweek artist residency session at Watershed in August. On Sunday, Aug. 25, the public is invited to explore the Watershed campus, learn more about the artists in residence and their work, and enjoy tea and homemade confections served from handmade Watershed teapots, cups and platters. The afternoon will also feature a pottery sale.

To learn more about Watershed’s studios and grounds, a tour will be offered at 2 p.m. prior to the tea party. The tour will be led by Jonathan Mess, a ceramic artist, Watershed Board member, and art educator at Lincoln Academy.

At 3 p.m. there’ll be tea and treats, followed at 4 p.m. by artist talks and demonstrations by Jemma Gascoine, Simon van der Ven, and Carole Ann Fer

The cost is $10 in advance, $15 at the gate. Register at http://watershedceramics.or g/featured/ upcomingevents/.
