BOWDOINHAM — Stephen W. Allen, 63, of Bowdoinham, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Stephen was born in Rockland, Maine. He graduated from Brunswick High School and received a BFA from the University of Maine Orono. For the past 33 years he was married to his wife and best friend, Claudette Allen.
Stephen was a passionate musician, historian and artist. He played bass guitar in several bands over the years, most recently “Comfortably
Numb.” He enjoyed oil painting, restoring antique cars, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by two daughters Jennifer Allen and Kaleigh Frye, son-in-laws James Bentley and Brent Frye, his granddaughter Willow Frye, his siblings Bradford Allen, Gretchen Allen and Robert Allen, and his parents Nancy and Bernard LaCroix.
A celebration of life will be held at the Allen’s home in Bowdoinham on September 1st at 2 p.m.
