Something to Wear

Quietly and unobtrusively, in the basement of the Human Services Building, the Windham Clothes Closet provides excellent condition clothing for all ages, from infant to adults. Shoes, handbags, and every type of trousers, jeans, and sleepwear – everything is clean, sorted by size and hung up. Also you’ll find dozens of paperback books, children’s books, DVDs and even bedding – lovely handmade baby quilts are displayed nicely. Items in the Clothes Closet are donated by residents and are available free to anyone who needs them. Open from 10 a.m. to noon, Monday and Tuesday, you can thank volunteer Pat Vigue for the neat and tidy organization and operation.
