BRUNSWICK
ArtVan, a nonprofit mobile arts therapy program, will showcase works from Brunswick youths at the 2nd Friday ArtWalk in Brunswick today — Friday, June 14 — 5 to 8 p.m.
The exhibit, titled “From Here,” will be on display through July 11 at Cool As A Moose, 128 Maine St.
ArtVan brings the arts to youth who might not otherwise have access to afterschool and summer arts programs in the communities of Bath, Brunswick, Lewiston, Auburn and Biddeford. Art- Van gives participants the opportunity to express themselves in a safe environment facilitated by caring and professional adults and supported by their peers.
The 2nd Friday ArtWalk runs through October and is coordinated by the Five Rivers Arts Alliance, an organization that works to strengthen neighboring communities through the arts and other cultural activities.
