New office hours
The new town office hours will be Monday, Tuesday and Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; Thursday, 10:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.; closed Wednesday. The town office will be open through lunch hour. For more information 353-2561.

The codes enforcement officer is available on Wednesdays, May 22 and 29, from 5-7 p.m., at the town office.
The Durham Planning Board meets Wednesday, June 5, at 7 p.m., in the town office.
RSU 5 budget vote due
The Regional School Unit 5 budget vote is Wednesday, May 22, at 6:30 p.m., in the Freeport High School gym. This is for residents of Durham, Freeport and Pownal. This will be the last chance to have a say in the budget items before the referendum vote on June 11. The budget can be seen online at RSU5.org.
Durham Republicans meeting May 29
The Durham Republicans will meet at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, at the Durham Fire Station. All registered Republicans are invited and encouraged to attend. Town seeking land

Fair, parade and more May 27
A full day of activities is scheduled for Monday, May 27. A Family Fun Run/walk/5K starts at 8 a.m. at the AMVETS, with proceeds to benefit the the AMVETS. For more information, contact joetia@hotmail.com.
Durham Community Parade lines up for marchers, bikers, floats, etc., at Davis Road/Get N Go at 9:30 a.m. The parade begins at 10. For more information, contact joetia@hotmail.com.
Durham PTA Fun Fair will be held at the Durham Community School cafeteria from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., with games, prizes, moon bounce and Children Identification Program (CHIP). A fifth-grade concession stand, with proceeds to benefit their University of Maine 4-H Camp & Learning Center field trip in September, will feature hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken Caesar wraps, baked goods, soft drinks and chips.

Church grilling chicken
First Congregational Church of Durham UCC, 773 Royalsborough Road, is hosting a chicken barbecue on Saturday, June 1, from 4:30-6 p.m. On the menu are barbecue chicken, green salad, potato salad, rolls, beverage, homemade pies. Adults pay $9, children 6-12 years $3, and children under 5 free. Proceeds benefit the church.
Road-Ride-Riddle to benefit food pantry
Lisbon Area Christian Outreach Food Pantry and Clothing Bank is holding benefit Road-Ride-Riddle, Saturday, June 1, with registration from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the First Congregational Church UCC, 773 Royalsborough Road (corner routes 9 and 136), Durham. Registration fee is $10 or 10 non-perishable food items; half price for those under age 12. Any street-legal vehicle is eligible. Surprises are scheduled at each stop, and lunch will be provided at the finish. A prize drawing will also be held. For more information, call Priscilla, 353-2552.
Masons hosting bean supper
The Durham Masonic Lodge is hosting a bean supper, Saturday, June 8, from 4:30-6 p.m., at the lodge, Route 136 across from the River Park. On the menu are baked beans, chop suey, hot dogs, potato salad, cole slaw, bread, pickles, homemade pies. Prices are $7.50 adults, $3 children ages 5-12, free for children under 5.
Food pantry
The Lisbon Area Christian Outreach’s food pantry and clothing bank hours are: Wednesday: 6 p.m.-8 p.m., Thursday: 10 a.m. to noon and Saturday: 8 a.m.-10 a.m. LACO serves the communities of Bowdoin, Durham and Lisbon. The website is www.lacopantry.org.
The physical address for food and clothing is the Marion T. Morse Community Center, enter from the Berry Avenue side behind the Lisbon United Methodist Church. The clothing bank cannot accept furniture, appliances, etc., as they do not have the room to store them. For more, call Debbie at 240-1637.
