BATH — Juniors and seniors attending Maine public high schools may take courses at University College at Bath-Brunswick as part of Maine’s High School Aspirations Incentive Program.
The program allows high school students to take college courses tuition-free at the center, located in the Midcoast Center for Higher Education, 9 Park St.
Students can take any academic course for which they have met course prerequisites as long as there is space available. Students can enroll in a maximum of two courses per semester; the Maine Department of Education will pay half of the tuition for one three-credit course per semester if funds are available. The student is responsible for course fees and books.
Most classes for the fall 2013 semester begin Sept. 3.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
