GEORGETOWN — The Georgetown Historical Society invites those who have old photos of Georgetown people, events, and places dating from the 1800s to 1960 to bring up to five of their photos to the society on Saturday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to noon, for scanning and possible inclusion in a planned 2014 book of Georgetown images.

The book will be limited to between 180 and 240 images and include supporting captions. GHS wants to include photos from as many decades and areas of town as possible. Even if some photos are not included in the book, all scanned images will be added to the society’s archives.

For information, contact GHS at 371-9200 or georgetownhistorical@gmail.com.
