Mt. Ararat High School captured the third-place trophy at the 2013 annual Science Olympiad Meet at the University of Southern Maine.

Senior tri-captains Elsie Morgan, Ryan Smith and Eric Farnsworth mentored the work in “technical problem solving,” “robot arm” and “elastic launch glider” contestants, respectively.

Seniors Emily Eldridge and Colton Burns helped mentor the “forensics” and “Fermi questions” events, respectively.

The work of senior members Tracey Tran, James McCracken and Keith Becker made the strong finish possible, according to head coaches Glenn Evans, Evelyn Barbour and Dianne Boucher.
