FREEPORT — Laura Liswood, a global leader of women’s initiatives, will speak about “Embracing Diversity in Business Today” on March 15 in Freeport.
Her talk is arranged by the Maine Institute for Family- Owned Business, in partnership with TD Bank.
Freeport’s Hilton Garden Inn will host the 2 to 5 p.m. event, which is open to institute members ($100) and others ($200). A social hour and book signing will follow the program.
Liswood is secretary general of the Council of Women World Leaders. In 2001, Liswood was named managing director, Global Leadership and Diversity for Goldman Sachs. Her book, “The Loudest Duck,” speaks to diversity in the global workplace.
She earned her B.A. from California State University, her J.D. from UC Davis School of Law, and M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
The institute is a comprehensive resource for familyowned business, serving owners, executives, and employees through a range of continuing education programs, networking opportunities, and consulting services.
