PORTLAND — Bikini Kill, Pat Benatar, Joan Jett and The Runaways, Courtney Love, Meg White, Blondie, Shirley Manson, the list goes on and on of the rockers who helped pave the way for women in music history.
Bayside Bowl is going to get loud tonight at 58 Adler St., from 5:30 to 9 p.m. when The Maine Academy of Modern Music presents its Girls Rock! concert.
MAMM bands Guilty Bystander, Emergency Sirens, Metal Sideburns, The Twisted Truth, Illegal Eagle and Yard Sail will put their own stamp on history with sets featuring local girls that rock.
Admission is $5 to the all ages show.
