Operation Tribute
Marc Badeau of Gorham is heading up Operation Tribute that is partnering with Dunkin’ Donuts to help raise money to ensure that no child of a military family in Maine is refused a gift during the holiday season.
Those who stop by any Dunkin’ Donuts location in Maine through December 2 and donate $1 to Operation Tribute will receive a hot or iced coffee coupon to be used in January.

Historical society ?to hear singers
The Gorham High School Chamber Singers will entertain when the Gorham Historical Society meets at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 10, at the Gorham Savings Bank Operation Center off Gray Road (Route 202).
Jan Labrecque, a society spokeswoman, said the program is the singers’ annual “Cookie Dig.”

Theater festival ?in Gorham
Gorham is hosting more than 300 high school students from New England and New York for two days of theater workshops, performances and celebrations of live theater on Friday, Nov. 30, and Saturday, Dec. 1.
The Northeast Educational Theatre Festival is sponsored by the Maine chapter of Education Theatre Association with support from the Department of Theatre at the University of Southern Maine and Gorham High School.
Workshops and performances will be held on Friday at the university and on Saturday at the high school.
Maine high schools participating include Gorham, Bonny Eagle, Camden Hills Regional, Cheverus, Brunswick, Edward Little, Leavitt Area and Old Town in addition to Bonny Eagle Middle School.
Out of state high schools participating are Alvirne, Manchester, N.H., Winnacunnet, Hampton, N.H., Coe-Brown Northwood Academy, Northwood, N.H.,
Classical Magnet, Hartford, Conn., Rutland, Rutland, Vt., Twin Valley, Wilmington, Vt., The Beacon School, New York, N.Y., and Kingstown, Kingstown, R.I.
Triad to meet
The Gorham-Westbrook Triad will meet at 9 a .m. on Friday, Dec. 14, in Gorham Municipal Center, 75 South St.
Triad is a collaborative of senior citizens, police and community providers who promote safety and wellbeing of senior citizens.

The Bureau of Public Debt reported on Nov. 23 that the U.S. public debt was $16,307,488,943,564.23.
