HALLOWELL (AP) — Authorities looking for Maine’s former top drug prosecutor who disappeared following a federal appeals court decision upholding his conviction on child pornography charges have searched the home of the man’s ex-wife.
The Kennebec Journal reports that police searched the Hallowell home of Barbara Cameron on Tuesday in their nationwide manhunt for her ex-husband, James Cameron.
The 50-year-old James Cameron of Rome cut off his court-ordered electronic monitoring ankle bracelet and disappeared around midnight on Nov. 14, the same day the court upheld convictions on seven counts of sending, receiving and possessing child pornography while vacating convictions on six counts.
