FREEPORT — The second annual Maine Mortgage Expo will take place Nov. 12-13 at the Hilton Garden Inn, 5 Park St., in Freeport.
According to a news release, highlights of the expo include:
— Nov. 12, 5 to 6 p.m., George Hamm, comedian.
— Nov. 13, 8:15 a.m. to 9 a.m., Will Lund, of the Maine Bureau of Consumer Protection, presenting “Update from the Maine State Mortgage Regulator: NMLS, Truth-in- Lending and the Foreclosure Diversion Program.”
9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., Larry Avery, of Birchwood Credit Services, presenting “Understanding and Maximizing Consumer Credit Scores.”
10 a.m. to noon, John Kirk, of Gateway Title, on “Top 10 Reasons Why You are not Having a Closing Today.”
12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Key note address, Roy DeLoach, of NAMB.
1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Paul Pouliot, of Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston, on “GSE Update and a Perspective on the Future.”
3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Sandie Gausch, vice president of Merrimack Mortgage, on “10 Easy Steps for a Successful AML/SAR Compliance Program.”
