TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat Middle School eighthgrade boys soccer team came away with two victories last week.
The Eagles first beat Oxford Hills 3-1, with Baron Becker, Jimmy Pelletier and Steven Schuman each scoring a goal and Becker earning an assist.
Jacob Laurence and Schuman split time in goal for the Eagles. Kyle Brown and Cole Guerin controlled the middle, playing standout defensive games.
In the second game, Mt. Ararat blanked Oak Hill 12-0. Elliot Bowie scored four goals, including the first three of the game. Orion Sargent scored twice, with one goal coming off an assist from Laurence. Pelletier also scored two goals, while Ryan Rethi, Becker, Schuman and Spencer Egan added one each, with Egan’s goal assisted by Sawyer Watson.
Laurence and Schuman split time in the net for the shutout.
The Eagles ran their record to 5-1-1.
