GORHAM – A Gorham man was arrested just after midnight Saturday after the stabbing of a Windham man.
Bradford L. Lacy was arrested at 12:05 a.m. and charged with aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon. Police were responding to a call that a man had been stabbed on Maple Drive in Gorham when they found the 42-year-old victim, a Windham man who was treated and taken to a local hospital. A woman, who was also sent to the hospital, was found unresponsive in the residence.
Police found Lacy hiding outside near his residence. Lacy was ultimately transported to the Cumberland County Jail, where he was admitted without incident. Lacy’s bail has been set at $15,000 cash. Alcohol may have been a factor in this incident.
According to a press release, the police have no reason to believe there is any danger to the public and we are not searching for additional suspects at this time.
Gorham detectives executed a search warrant this morning on Maple Drive and continue to investigate this incident. Both victims reportedly have non-life threatening injuries.
