FRYEBURG – David Clemmer scored from Wyatt Jackson with 4:20 left in the second overtime Tuesday to give unbeaten Yarmouth a 1-0 victory against Fryeburg Academy in a Western Maine Conference schoolboy soccer game.

Andrew Fochler stopped four shots for Yarmouth (9-0-3). Paul Dostie made 10 saves for Fryeburg (4-5-3).

 

MT. ARARAT 2, BRUNSWICK 1: Will Hirnak scored six minutes into overtime to lift Mt. Ararat (9-1-1) over the Dragons (7-3-2) at Brunswick.

Ryan Black gave the Dragons the lead less than a minute in, but Griffin Stockford pulled the Eagles even 12 minutes later.

Gabe Pelletier stopped three shots for Mt. Ararat. Greg Walton had 11 saves for Brunswick.

 

CAPE ELIZABETH 1, FALMOUTH 0: Griffin Thoreck scored on a free kick from about 45 yards with 1:40 left to lift the Capers (5-5-1) over the Yachtsmen (7-2-2) at Cape Elizabeth.

Austin Andrews made six saves to record the shutout. Billy Mullin had four saves for Falmouth.

 

CHEVERUS 2, MASSABESIC 1: Mackenzie Hoglund and Jamie Biegel scored first-half goals as the Stags (7-4-1) held off the Mustangs (4-7-1) at Portland.

Joey Smith and Derek Hammond had assists, and Charlie Mull made two saves for Cheverus.

Brandon Bosse of Massabesic cut the deficit to 2-1 with eight minutes left.

Andrew Wicklund finished with 13 saves for the Mustangs.

 

KENNEBUNK 2, NOBLE 0: The Rams (7-2-3) took advantage of an own goal with 23 minutes left and Griffin Drigotas made it 2-0 eight minutes later to beat the Knights (7-5) at Kennebunk.

John Burns made six saves to record the shutout. Drew Martin finished with 10 saves for Noble.

 

SCARBOROUGH 8, WESTBROOK 1: Sam Cekada had four goals as the Red Storm (10-0-2) handled the Blue Blazes (0-11-1) at Westbrook.

Austin Downing added a goal and an assist, and Chris Cleary, Jordan Luong and Dan Ornstein also scored for Scarborough.

Sam Warren, who relieved Pat Stanton after the first half, made three saves for Scarborough.

Kaleb Kent scored from Conner Richardson, and Austin Blake and D.J. Henrikson combined for 12 saves for Westbrook.

 

PORTLAND 7, BONNY EAGLE 0: Tim Rovnak scored three goals and Chip Weber made eight saves to help the Bulldogs (4-7-1) beat the Scots (2-10) at Standish.

Sam Farr, Ibrahim Dahir, Stephen Barry and Dana Kuniholm also scored.

 

YORK 3, FREEPORT 0: Bailey McKenna scored twice and Fran Mendoza once to lead the Wildcats (7-2-2) past the Falcons (2-8-2) at Yarmouth.

Adam Legg earned the shutout with three saves. Brendan Qualls stopped 10 shots for Freeport.

 

RICHMOND 3, SACOPEE VALLEY 1: Eddie Stewart scored twice off corner kicks from Xavier Trask to help the Bobcats (14-0) beat the Hawks (1-9-1) at South Hiram.

Trey Watson’s goal helped Sacopee Valley go into halftime tied at 1-1, but Randy Moody put Richmond ahead in the 53rd minute.

Mike Pingree made eight saves for the Hawks; Dustin Sullivan had nine for the Bobcats.

 

MARSHWOOD 1, DEERING 1: Devon Gilbert scored an early goal for the Hawks (7-4-1) and Ben Peterson tied it for the Rams (6-3-3) six minutes into the second half at Portland.

Matt Brenner made six saves for Marshwood.

 

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 3, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 1: Josh Kane scored on a penalty kick and added an assist for the Patriots (6-4-2), who scored three first-half goals against the Panthers (8-5-1) at Gray.

Austin Carson and Jake Street also scored for Gray-New Gloucester. D.J. Nicholas answered for the Panthers with 3:46 left.

Nick Rogers made six saves for the Patriots. Austin Kidder stopped four shots for NYA.

 

POLAND 5, LAKE REGION 0: Alex Corcoran scored two goals and assisted on a third, and Nate Morin added a goal and an assist for the Knights (3-6-3), who scored four goals in the second half to pull away from the Lakers (1-10) at Poland.

Shawn Murphy and Sean Kruse also scored for Poland, which outshot Lake Region, 31-11. Zack Lowe made five saves to record the shutout.

 

WINDHAM 4, SANFORD 0: Jacapo Secchi scored a pair of goals, and Spencer Hodge added a goal and an assist as the Eagles (8-4) downed the Spartans (0-11-1) at Windham.

Marc Reynolds also scored. Jimmy Parks finished with 16 saves for Sanford.
