SOLON (AP) — U.S. Sen. Susan Collins will visit Solon Elementary School, which has received a national honor.
Collins will speak during a school assembly today congratulating teachers and students for being named a 2012 “National Blue Ribbon School” by the U.S. Department of Education.
Collins will present principal Jean Butler with a copy of the Congressional Record recognizing that achievement. The Maine Republican will also speak to the students about her job as a senator representing Maine in Washington.
