BELFAST — Morse High School traveled north on Tuesday and beat the Lions 3-0 in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B girl soccer action.

The Shipbuilders improved to 7-1-1 and host Maine Central Institute on Thursday, with the Shipbuilders sponsoring a “Coaches vs. Cancer” evening.

Morse maintained territorial advantage thoughout the first half, but it took until 15 minutes remained for the combined efforts of Brianna Williams and Miracle Trimble to payoff, with Trimble netting the goal.

Morse held a 12-1 shots advantage for the half.

The second half continued much like the first with the Shipbuilders controlling play, but unable to get beyond the Lions’ keeper.
