The Board of Selectmen will meet today at 6 p.m. at the town office where one of the first items of business is to hear an auditor’s presentation.
The audit presentation will be done by William Brewer, the certified public accountant the town hired to conduct the audit for the fiscal year ending June 2012.
The selectmen are also slated to discuss setting a date to review the David Harris Automobile Recycling Business and Junkyard application.
The board is scheduled to discuss adoption of several policies including an electronic communication policy, a social media policy, and a personnel policy. Selectmen will also consider approving a policy that allows a designated municipal officer, acting on behalf of the full board or municipal officers, to review, approve and sign the municipal treasurers disbursement warrants for the payment of state fees and bi-weekly payroll only.
Selectmen will be discussing lighting at Lane Field and in a separate agenda item discussion, consider a request to use the field Sept. 9 and Oct. 28 for a fall baseball tournament for children ages 12 and 13.
Also on the docket is an update on a USDA grant inquiry for a public works truck; board action on the carryover of $9,021 from the solid waste budget; and board action to sign the 2012-13 Sagadahoc County tax assessment and set the tax commitment.
The selectmen are scheduled to enter into executive session to discuss trust funds.
