
The Brunswick Police Department is investigating the July 31 pharmacy burglary at Shaw’s, located at 147 Bath Road in Brunswick, which occurred around 10:50 p.m. that day. According to the release issued through Brunswick police and Crime Stoppers, a suspect entered the open grocery store and proceeded toward the pharmacy, which was closed. After prying the pharmacy door lock open, the suspect took controlled substances.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5-foot-8-inches to 5-foot-9-inches tall with a medium build. He wore a baseball cap and dark colored hoodie sweatshirt.
According to the announcement, the reward will be donated by pharmaceutical company Purdue Pharma L.P., which operates RxPATROLR, a collaborative effort between industry, pharmacists and law enforcement to collect, collate, analyze and disseminate information on pharmacies in an effort to solve crimes and prevent additional incidents.

“It’s important for people to know that all information that we get is kept completely confidential,” said Crime Stoppers president Gene Ferrara in the announcement. “Callers never have to give their names or appear in court. The Crime Stoppers tip line does not use any tape recording or caller ID devices.”
