BATH — Early registration ends Aug. 10 for preschool and school age childcare programs through Bath Area Family YMCA, 303 Centre St.
A news release describes the programs as follows:
Y-Care before and after school programs are available onsite for Georgetown, Brunswick, and most Regional School Unit 1 elementary schools. These licensed programs provide quality care, nutritious snacks, homework help, and a variety of indoor and outdoor activities.
The Y also offers an enrichment program for 2-and-a-half to 5-year-olds, and supports development with weekly gymnastics, swimming, story telling, music, art, CATCH Kids Club (promoting physical activity and healthy food choices), and much more.

BRUNSWICK — St. John’s Catholic School welcomes Debbie Goering as the new principal of the private school.
Goering has served as a Catholic school principal in New York, Texas and most recently in New Mexico before moving to Brunswick. She holds master’s degrees in art education and in educational administration. She began on Wednesday.
