TOPSHAM — Cathance River Education Alliance presents “Birds of the Cathance Preserve” on Tuesday, July 31, at the Topsham Public Library from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Doug Hitchcox and Eric Berube will take attendee’s on a visual guide of the birds of the Cathance River Preserve. A news release states:
From small exotic warblers to large majestic birds of prey this talk promises to get you excited about wildlife and help you identify some of the birds in your own back yard.
Doug Hitchcox broke the Maine Big Year record in 2011,finishing with a whopping 314 species identified. Along the way, Hitchcox found Maine’s first ever Little Egret, one of its few Virginia’s Warblers, Ash-throated Flycatchers and more.
This presentation is part of a year-long series of monthly community programs at the library on the last Tuesday of the month. These community programs are free, familyfriendly, and open to the public.
