Kelly Parker Band to perform at fair

The New Gloucester Community Fair Committee is excited to announce that the Kelly Parker Band will be headlining this year’s musical performances. “The Kelly Parker Band is well known throughout Maine,” stated Michael Bardier, chair of the Fair Committee. “They have a large following, and we’re very excited they will be performing at our fair. It goes to show how much exposure we’re receiving and how much our fair is growing.” The band will be performing from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, and is expected to bring in a large crowd.

Also new this year will be a performance from the New England Jazz Band conducted by New Gloucester’s own Steve Schran. Returning for 2012 will be well-known local favorites the Intergalatic Yurt Band and the Peterson Project.

“So far, this year’s fair has been shaping up nicely. We’ve had interest from new food vendors, crafters and entertainers, and we have some new events we’re working on, too,” said Bardier. You can listen to the bands and find more information about this year’s fair by visiting www.newgloucesterfair.com or by following on Facebook.
