The Ale House String Band is comprised of Brian Dunn on mandolin, April Reed-Cox on cello and Oren Robinson on guitar. The three have played together since 2009.
The DRA Round Top Coffee House takes place the second Friday of every month. Each coffee house starts with open microphone performances.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The open mic session runs from 6:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., with a 15-minute break before the feature act performs from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The open mic is a series of eight-minute, two-song slots, and is designed for individual or small group performances. Performers should be able to walk up on stage and set up quickly.
Coffee and snacks are available. A plate or two of home-baked goods or a volunteer shift at the open mic earns free admission.
The DRA Round Top Coffee House is held at DRA’s Round Top Farm, on U.S. Route 1B (Main Street) in Damariscotta.
Admission costs $6 for adults or $3 for seniors. Children age 12 and younger get in free.
For more information, call Heather Hardy or Jason Anthony at 677-2354 or the DRA at 563-1393.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
You can read more here about our commenting policy and terms of use. More information is also found on our FAQs.
