BOARD APPOINTMENTS

• Dennis Carolin, chief financial officer of The Bank of Maine, was elected to the board of directors for Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center. Carolin, of Augusta, is a certified public accountant, licensed in Maine.

Also at the meeting, Johnson Hall elected new officers to the board.

Paul Pidgeon of West Gardiner was named president; Nancy Davis of West Gardiner was named vice president; Cindy Yachanin of Augusta was named secretary; and Dennis Doiron of Gardiner will continue as treasurer.

Johnson Hall recently won the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce 2012 Community Service award.

GENERAL

• Melanie Craig, co-curricular director at Deering High School in Portland, was named a certified athletic administrator by the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.
