BANGOR (AP) — Bangor police are investigating an early morning stabbing near a convenience store that sent the victim to the hospital.
Police say the victim was stabbed in the back at about 6:30 a.m. today in an alleyway across from Leadbetter’s Mini Stop on Ohio Street.
The man was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center. Neither his name nor condition were available.
Police describe the suspect as a young black man, about 5-foot-10, and thin. He was wearing black pants and a purple hooded sweatshirt and was last seen running toward downtown.
Police are asking the public for information on the stabbing.
