GEORGETOWN — Teacher Olivia Birdsall was named this month as one of 54 recipients of a Woodrow Wilson Indiana Teaching Fellowship.

Birdsall, who is a 2011 graduate of St. Lawrence University with a major in mathematics and fine arts, will receive a $30,000 stipend to complete an intensive master’s program at the University of Indianapolis.

Every graduate of the program will then teach for at least three years in a highneed urban or rural school in the state of Indiana, according to a press release from the school.
