BATH — In Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference softball action on Tuesday, Morse slipped to 2-11 as Medomak Valley (12-1) wiped out a 5-4 deficit with four runs in the sixth inning for a come-frombehind 9-5 victory.
Desiree Benner’s sixthinning grand-slam home run was the difference for the Panthers.
Morse pitcher Jacelyn McNeill had two strikeouts and a walk, while Medomak’s Kelsi Severson worked four innings with five strikeouts and a walk, and Benner finished up with two strikeouts and a walk.
Maria Ennamount had three singles in the winning cause, while Mallory Canary, Amanda Henrikson and Taylor Simmons added two singles each.
In the Morse effort, Hannah Russell had a double and single, and Katie Henrikson, Brianna Bigelow, Niesa Ryder, Lucy Rawson, Nichole Laggan and McNeill a single each.
Morse is scheduled to host Camden Hills today at 4:15 p.m.
