WISCASSET — Wiscasset High School will host its annual Spring Gallery of the Arts on Wednesday.
An art show will be open from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. A concert will start at 7 p.m., then the art show will reopen for a half hour following the concert.
The art exhibit includes works from students in drawing and painting, printmaking, digital art, ceramics, sculpture, photography and fine furniture. The show also will feature 10 individual shows from advancedlevel art students. Teachers Shalimar Poulin and Chip Schwehm will present art awards during the concert to students that have excelled in their classes.
The concert band will perform a few pieces including “Amazing Grace” and the jazz standard “Autumn Leaves.”
The concert choir will sing several songs, including Coldplay’s “Paradise” and John Rutter’s “For The Beauty of the Earth.”
Solo musical performances also are planned.
The event is free and open to all.
