TOPSHAM — Maine Street Events and Sweet Melissa’s Photography will present “Celebrating Women,” a women-owned businesses expo on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to a news release.
Join more than 25 women and their businesses at the former Village Candle offices in the Topsham Fair Mall, above the new Renys location. There will be a wide variety of skills and wares, from housewares to jewelry, to skin care, to life coaching, to photography sessions, massage and energy workshops.
The expo is a benefit for the American Heart Association of Maine.
“Heart disease is the number one killer of women today,” said Amanda Similien, owner of Maine Street Events. “It is important to support their work through community events like this.”

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
