LISBON — Lisbon police arrested two drivers involved in a threevehicle crash Friday afternoon on Route 196.
According to Detective Bernie McAllister, the crash occurred at 2:52 p.m. near the Lisbon Getty station. A vehicle driven east by Ashton Cuffee, 21, of 669 Lisbon Road, had stopped for a flagger at a construction site along Route 196. A motorcycle behind Cuffee driven by 57-year-old Steven Creamer of Greene was slowing to stop when a third vehicle behind Creamer driven by Robert Hamilton, 34, of 142 Bartlett St., Lewiston, was unable to stop and hit the motorcycle.
The impact pushed the motorcycle into the stopped vehicle driven by Cuffee. The motorcycle sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene. Creamer was checked out at the scene and was not taken to the hospital.
Officer Jason St. Pierre investigated the crash. Cuffee, the driver of the first vehicle that was stopped in the construction traffic, was arrested and charged with operating without a license. He was taken to Lisbon Police Department, where he posted bail.
Hamilton was arrested and charged with operating after suspension for habitual offender status, and failure to give correct name. He was transported to the Lisbon Police Department and then to Androscoggin County Jail.
