WELLS — The Maine Turnpike Authority is reporting a significant crash tonight in the northbound lanes of the turnpike between Exit 19 in Wells and Exit 25 in Kennebunk.

A travel alert posted by the authority says a tractor-trailer carrying fuel rolled over around 6:30 p.m., spilling more than 100 gallons of fuel onto the roadway.

Motorists should try to avoid the area, or expect to encounter a major traffic delay.
