PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Justin Edwards and Alasdair Fraser scored 17 points apiece Friday to lead Maine over Brown 71-58 for the Black Bears’ third consecutive win.

Raheem Singleton added 11 points and Gerald McLemore 10 for Maine (6-4).

Brown (5-8) led 30-29 at the break, but Edwards’ three-point play early in the second half helped spark a 19-7 Maine run over a 7½-minute span for a lead that would stick.

Maine outscored Brown 42-28 in the second half.

Mike Allison had a game-high 10 rebounds for Maine, which outrebounded Brown, 42-30. Singleton hit 3 of 4 from beyond the arc. Maine outshot Brown 50 percent (6 of 12) to 23.1 percent (3 of 13) from long range.

Matt Sullivan scored 15 points to lead Brown, which has lost 4 of 5.

(4) LOUISVILLE 70, WESTERN KENTUCKY 60: Russ Smith scored 23 points and Louisville (12-0) overcame a sleepy start and rallied from an eight-point deficit in the second half at home to beat Western Kentucky (4-9)

Gorgui Dieng had 13 points and 15 rebounds — his fifth straight double-double — for the Cardinals, who remained one of the nation’s six unbeaten Division I teams. Kyle Kuric added 15 points, 12 in the first half.

(6) BAYLOR 83, WEST VIRGINIA 81: Pierre Jackson scored eight consecutive points during regulation and overtime to lift Baylor (12-0) over West Virginia (9-3) in the Las Vegas Classic championship game.

Jackson finished with 23 points while Brady Heslip added 19 and Quincy Acy had 15.

(13) WISCONSIN 79, MISSISSIPPI VALLEY STATE 45: Jordan Taylor scored 17 points to lead Wisconsin (11-2) over Mississippi Valley State (1-10) at Madison, Wis., in the Badgers’ final game before Big Ten play begins.

Playing for the first time in more than a week, the Badgers took a 20-4 lead in the first eight minutes.

WAGNER 59, (15) PITTSBURGH 54: Latif Rivers scored all 18 of his points in the second half, including six critical free throws in the final minute, as visiting Wagner (8-3) stunned Pittsburgh (11-2).

(21) UNLV 85, CALIFORNIA 68: Anthony Marshall had 22 points and nine rebounds to lead UNLV (13-2) over California (10-3) at Las Vegas.

(18) WISCONSIN-GREEN BAY 65, WISCONSIN 49: Julie Wojta scored a career-high 29 points to help Wisconsin-Green Bay (10-0) defeat Wisconsin (4-8) at Madison, Wis.
