To the editor:
At this extraordinary season of giving, I extend a special thank you and happy holidays to the visual artists, musicians, performers and arts organizations in our community, each of whom adds to the cultural magnificence of our surroundings.
Our real estate agency features the work of area artists through changing and ongoing exhibits in our Bath office. We hope to show that homeowners can purchase original art for their homes at every price level.
How wonderful it would be to see original art in all of our homes and businesses!
Currently, we are hosting the Kennebec Art Club’s annual exhibit and sale. The members of this more than 20- year old club take great pleasure in creating art, as well as supporting up- and- coming artists who are graduating from Morse, Brunswick and Mt. Ararat high schools.
Please come to the exhibit to celebrate and to find a unique gift in support of our artists and our area students, or visit other area exhibits, galleries, shops and restaurants, where original artwork can be found.
Concert and theater tickets or a donation to any of our splendid arts organizations also make unique gifts for friends and family, with an extra benefit to all of us.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all, especially to the amazing artists who live and work among us, and to those who support them.
Thank you. What a beautiful contribution you make to our community and to our lives.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
