BRUNSWICK — Looking for a place to hang out and have fun with friends or family? Then read, learn and play during National Gaming Day @ Your Library on Saturday.
“Curtis Memorial Library will host special all-ages gaming programs and events to celebrate our national love of video, card, role-playing and board games,” states a release from the library.
Games run throughout the day, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Different gaming stations will be set up throughout the library. For example, gamers can explore the nooks and crannies of the second floor to find Dungeons and Dragons, play Monopoly in the Money Room or test their athletic ability with Wii Resort in the entry to the Children’s area.
There will also be tables reserved for BYOBG (bring your own board game) play.
“Bring your favorite strategy and family board games or try something new and fun from the library’s collection,” the release continues. “Please join in and add to the fun! Come for one game or stay for the day.”
Registration is not required. These games aren’t competitive; there are no prizes, only smiles, and recreation for all.
For more information, contact the reference desk at Curtis Library, 725-5242 extension 510. The library is located at 23 Pleasant St.

“We’re thrilled to offer these great deals on kids’ books,” said Carol Sockloff, sale coordinator.
In addition to the sale, local author and illustrator Charlotte Agell will sketch free children’s portraits between 10 a.m. and noon.
