SANFORD — The State Fire Marshall’s Office is investigating a fatal fire in Sanford tonight.
Steve McCausland, spokesman for the Fire Marshall, said one person died in the fire at 9 Armand Lane.
McCausland said two investigators from the state are heading to Sanford.
Initial police reports said a body was found inside a garage but McCausland could not provide any additional details about what might have happened.
The fire was reported just after 9 p.m.
