Briarcliffe College pitcher Thomas Hunter (right) is snowed under by his happy teammates, after recording the final out in the USCAA World Series championship game against Southern Virginia, Wednesday, at the Ballpark in Old Orchard Beach. Hunter, who was named the tournament Most Valuable Player, hurled a complete game in the Bulldogs’ 6-2 triumph. It was Briarcliffe’s second championship in as many years, and third ever.
