The 7th Scarborough Summerfest 5K and 1-mile races will be held Aug. 14th at the Scarborough High School athletic complex.

The 1-mile race for those 13 and under will be held at 6 p.m., with the 5K race going off at 6:30 p.m. The Scarborough Track and Cross Country Boosters sponsor the races.

Registration fees are $10 for the 1-miler and $15 for the 5K. If registration is received before Aug. 13, each registered person will receive a T-shirt. Registration the day of the race will begin at 4 p.m. at the tent near the tennis courts.

In the 1-mile race, all finishers will receive a medal and the first boy and girl will receive a plaque. In the 5K race, the top overall male and female will be awarded a plaque. All finishers will have their names put into a drawing for other prizes. Maine USATF sanctions the race and race results will be posted on meusatf.org.
