Optimists thank you

The GNG Optimist Club would sincerely like to thank the community newspapers for writing about their yearly event, Hooked on Fishing, Not on Drugs, for the children in our communities. This event would not happen without the generous donation of time, talent and treasures from supporting businesses and people.

The businesses that we would like to thank for helping to sponsor the event are FET, Inc., Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, Maine Cosmetic Dentistry, Pine Tree Networks, Mid Maine Communications and Boulos Property Management.

We fed more than 300 people for free with the generous donations of food and equipment from Micucci Wholesale Foods, Hannaford’s, Aramark and USM Food Services.
