The Annual Writing Contest Awards were handed out recently at Bonny Eagle Middle School. Students from kindergarten through eighth grade won first, second or third place ribbons for their writing efforts.

The categories included rhymed and unrhymed poetry and personal narratives. Assistant Superintendent Carol Weeks welcomed the staff, students, and family members. Diane Hammond introduced the winners and Pat Hayden presented the ribbons. Schools represented were Steep Falls (SF), H.B. Emery Jr. (HBE), Eliza Libby (EL), Jack Memorial (JM), Frank Jewett (FJ), George E. Jack (GEJ), Edna Libby (EDL), Hollis Elementary (HOL), and Bonny Eagle Middle School (BEMS).
