Be a star!

Auditions for the Fiddlehead Players production of “Jungle Book – Kids” will be held Saturday, Jan. 3, 9 a.m. to noon, and Sunday, Jan. 4, noon to 3 p.m.

Auditioners should be prepared to stay for an hour. There are roles for children from age 8 through 18. No acting experience or advance preparation is necessary. Actors should just be ready to come and have a good time!

There is a place in the production for more than 70 children. Audition scripts are available for those auditioning for leading roles, which include Mowgli, Ballou and Bagheera.

Rehearsals will be Saturdays and Thursdays at Fiddlehead Center for the Arts, 25 Shaker Road. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed at the auditions.

“Jungle Book-Kids” is a 40-minute musical play written for young actors. Show dates are March 6, 7, 13 and 14. The cost to participate is $49, which includes a CD, script, T-shirt, cast party and a “break a leg” program ad.
