The Maine chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association will host two events for families and friends of memory-impaired adults in Septmeber.
“Is it Alzheimer’s or is it Dementia?” a conversation series about memory loss and dementia will be held Monday, Sept. 8, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church on Meeting House Hill in South Portland. The forum will be facilitated by social workers Lori
Axelsonand. There is no charge to attend.
The chapter’s fall statewide conference on Alzheimer’s disease, research and care will be held Wednesday, Sept. 10, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Spectacular Event Center in Bangor.
The conference is generously sponsored by Martin’s Point Health Care, Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems and Genesis Health Care.
