As part of the Maine Community College System’s Rural Initiative, Southern Maine Community College will offer a course at Sacopee Valley Middle School in Hiram and a new certificate program in Bridgton this fall.

An Introduction to Psychology class will be held weekly at Sacopee Valley Middle School, in partnership with School Administrative District 55, rotating Mondays and Wednesdays, 1-3:45 p.m.

In addition to its regularly scheduled classes in Bridgton, SMCC will also offer a certificate in business program at the Bridgton Memorial School site this fall. The 15-credit, five-course program will help prepare students to advance in their current job position or attain the education required for management positions.

This program is offered in partnership with School Administrative Districts 61 and 72 Regional Adult and Community Education and Lake Region Vocational Center.
