My name is Megan and I’m 13. I am hosting what I hope will be an annual dog walk to benefit Riding To the Top a therapeutic riding program that serves adults and children with disabilities.

The walk will be on Aug. 9, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., at Payson Park in Portland near the triangle. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. There is a rain date of Aug. 10.

We will have three classes for $10 each, with prizes too. They are: costume class, most talented dog class, and frisbee class (bring your own frisbee).

You can pre-register by e-mailing triaussie@aol.com for a form or you can come and register the day of the event. We also have the Portland Police coming to do a demonstration and an agility club too.

I have worked with Riding To the Top for the past two years as a

volunteer and this is the second fundraising event that I’ve put

together.
